About us

CoderDojo is a worldwide movement of free, volunteer-led, community-based programming clubs for young people. Anyone aged seven to seventeen can visit a Dojo where they can learn to code, build a website, create an app or a game, and explore technology in an informal, creative, and social environment. The understanding of programming languages is increasingly important in the modern world, that it’s both better and easier to learn these skills early, and that nobody should be denied the opportunity to do so. CoderDojo Mackay Region will be one of twelve coding clubs in Queensland aimed at young people to succeed in the world of technology. The club will be opened on Saturday October 15 from 10.30am to 12pm and will run on a fortnightly basis at Calen District State College. Parents are encouraged to stay and learn code with their children. Your CoderDojo Champion’s name is Kiara. For more information email [email protected] or [email protected]
