Welcome to Digi House
Getting comfy with technology
Why is this important?
There are currently four million Australians not yet online who are missing out on opportunities that the internet provides. People living in social housing make up a significant proportion of those who are not yet connected.
How are we doing it?
Working closely with community and government organisations, our aim is to increase the digital skills of social housing residents. Studies show that the best way to facilitate digital learning is through building people’s digital confidence. By implementing digital elements into already existing programs we are able to create a fun learning environment, while increasing resident’s digital exposure.
Where was Digi House available?
Digi House ran programs in New South Wales and Victoria, with the aim of expanding into Queensland and other states.
Our learning guides are simple step-by-step instructions on various online tools and social mediums, such as setting up an email and understanding eBay. New digital users can get comfy with technology through accessing our learning guides.
